Basic Rules & Format
Time Slot & Solve Structure
- All solves for a participant will be done in the one time slot they choose.
- All events will follow an Average of 5 (Ao5) format.
- Participants must be prepared to complete all their chosen events within their selected slot.
Devices & Setup
- Primary Device (Required): A device (laptop / tablet / phone) to join the Google Meet, keep video on, and access the chat where scrambles will be shared.
- Secondary Device for Timing (Required): This can be a physical timer (e.g. Stackmat) or a mobile timer app that clearly displays the time to the camera.
-
Participants must have:
- Their cubes for all chosen events
- Both devices ready and sufficiently charged
- A cube cover (any opaque object) to hide the cube after scrambling
Flow of Solves (Per Attempt)
- Scramble Shared: The official scramble is posted in the Google Meet chat.
- Scramble Verification: The participant applies the scramble and shows the cube to the camera. Moderators verify that the scramble is correct.
- Covering the Cube: After verification, the participant uses their cube cover to hide the cube until the green signal is given.
- Start Signal & Inspection: Once the moderator gives the “start” / green signal, the participant may use up to 15 seconds of inspection.
- Solving: After inspection, the participant starts their solve and continues until they finish.
- Stopping & Showing Time: When the solve is complete, the participant stops the timer and shows the time clearly to the camera.
- Entering Time in Chat: The participant then types the recorded time in the Google Meet chat in mm:ss.ms format (for example: 1:23.45 and if its below 1 min then only ss.ms).
Any irregularities (missing cover, unclear timer display, wrong scramble, etc.) may lead to a re-attempt or penalty as decided by the moderators.
